You're right about the patronising bit. I used to play golf with a chap even older than me. Lovely fellow. Arsenal fan. He could never understand when I told him to fuck off and threatened him with an 8 iron every time he told me West Ham were a lovely little club and definitely his second favourite team. Alzheimer's got him in the end, bless him, the cunt of a disease.
